Fall Protection Harnesses are critical safety equipment that should be inspected before every use for damage like frayed straps, cracked D-rings or broken stitching, and should be fitted properly to ensure they function effectively in the event of a fail.

  Key Points:

  1. Regular Inspection: Always check your harness before use for any signs of wear or damage, including buckles, straps, stitching, and D-rings.
  2. Proper Fit: The harness should be snug but not restrictive, with dorsal D-ring located between your shoulder blades.
  3. Storage: When not in use, store your harness in a cool, dry place to prevent damage.
  4. Proper Training: Traning is essential for the safety of workers who work at heights.

Osha requires employers to provide annual training for employees who use fall protection equipment.
